The woman who was found shot to death while riding in a car with a dog in a plane crash is identified as the daughter of a local firefighter who was also killed in the crash.
Shawnna Brown, 21, was found on Monday with injuries to her neck, chest, back and her left hand, authorities said.
Brown’s family identified her as their daughter of the firefighter who died in the accident in the town of Westlake Springs, according to The Hill.
She was last seen at work with her father on Monday, she told investigators.
Her father was found dead at the scene and a deputy found the car where Brown was found.
The deputy identified Brown as the driver of the car, according the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The deputy who was involved in the deadly crash was being treated at the hospital for his injuries.
The coroner has not released any information about the cause of the crash, according an Orange County Fire Department spokeswoman.
The plane that crashed in Westlake has been towed away, according a statement from the Orange County Aviation Authority.
It is not clear if the plane is the same one that was found in the Westlake area of the country.
