Nigeria has just become the first country to officially join the ranks of the world’s newest and fastest-growing torrenting countries.
The torrenting country has more than 3.5 million subscribers and more than 7,500 torrent sites, according to BitTorrent Tracker, and more are added daily.
According to a recent study, more than 50 per cent of the country’s population is now using torrenting services.
A recent survey by TorrentFreak.com shows that Nigeria has the largest number of active torrent sites in the world, with the largest being the country of Brazil.
The country has one of the largest torrent download sites, with more than 8 million visitors a day.
Nigeria is also one of Asia’s largest economies, with its gross domestic product (GDP) at $3.5 trillion and the number of people living in the country estimated at 1.6 million.
Its economy is heavily dependent on its oil-dependent economy, which has seen its population boom since the 1990s, but the country has also seen a massive drop in its oil output, which makes up just one-third of its economy.
In addition, Nigeria is a signatory to the United Nations’ Convention on the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, which prevents copyright infringement.
