Open your Xbox.
Select the Home menu.
Select Your Games.
Select your Xbox Wireless Controller.
On the next page, select your controller.
You’ll see a controller icon with the name of the controller on the right side of the screen.

The controller’s icon will change to a green circle.
You should now see a list of buttons on the left side of your controller, plus a bar at the top of the center.
Select each one and click the Next button.
If you’re having trouble, the next screen will ask you to enter your name and password.
You can do this by pressing a number, but it won’t work if you don’t have an Xbox Live account.
Once you’ve entered your name, password, and game’s name, click Next.
The next screen asks if you want to download the game or install it on your Xbox console.
Select Install Now to install the game.
If all goes well, you’ll see the download progress bar next to the game in the list of installed apps.
Select Yes to proceed to the next step.
Click Next to install a new game.
You may want to change the title of the game, add new achievements, or adjust your settings to make it easier to use the controller.
You’re done installing a game.
But don’t be afraid to restart the game if something doesn’t work properly.
If everything goes well and the game is playable, you should see the next steps in the following screen.
Now that the game’s downloaded, you can check it out.
If it doesn’t load, try clearing your cache.
If that doesn’t help, try running the game again.
If the game doesn’t respond, try resetting your controller settings and rebooting.
You could try restarting the game and waiting for it to load the settings again.
If nothing works, check the status of your Xbox and your Xbox controller.
If both look good, the game could be installed correctly.
If not, you could try a factory reset and reinstall the game manually.
Check your system settings to ensure you’re playing the game at the right time.
If your Xbox is running too slow, you might want to try the following tips: Turn your console off and off again to make sure it doesn)t have an Internet connection.
Turn the console off to check if it’s plugged in.
Open the System Preferences app.
If there’s a “Notification” box, it means your Xbox has a problem.
If this happens, try the Troubleshooting section below to see if it resolves your problem.
Open Windows Defender.
This will open up a window with a “Change System Settings” icon on the top.
Click “Turn on Xbox” and follow the instructions.
When you finish this step, the Xbox should be ready to play.
